LinuxAID.com.cn site latest information: Free Standards Group (FSG) and Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) recently jointly announced that they will cooperate, to promote software vendor development and application compliance with standard Linux applications.
Osdl ceo Stuart Cohen said: OSDL recognizes that standards are crucial to the continued development of Linux in the enterprise application field. FSG has been a leader in the establishment of LSB 2.0 and other standards. We are very pleased to cooperate with FSG to promote the success of Linux in the enterprise application field.
In fact, before that, the two organizations had been in close contact with each other in the Linux release kit and independent software supplier cooperation work. The latest cooperation project between FSG and OSDL is OSDL Working Set. FSG also assisted OSDL to hold the OSDL Enterprise Linux summit on April 9, next January.
FSG Executive Director Jim Zemlin believes that OSDL has four years of experience in promoting Linux's application in the enterprise field. The cooperation with FSG will provide better support and technical services based on the Linux standard, while also enabling LSB 2. 0 is more complete.
