Note: An error occurs when the FTP Server opens a folder on the FTP server. Check whether you have the permission to access this folder.

I believe everyone wants to create a server for themselves. From now on, I will explain how to build some common servers.
Now let's take a look at the entire process of establishing an FTP server (Note: I am very original and dedicated to everyone). We will use the peanut shell 3.1.1.1 as an example to demonstrate it step by step:

(1) If you can directly obtain a public IP address, instead of an IP address in the LAN, you can directly use it;
(2) If you use a LAN router to share the internet, you need to configure a port ing on the Broadband Router. I will introduce the specific operation method later.
2, first go to the peanut shell website to download a client software, the latest version is v3.1.1.1, the official website address is: http://www.oary.net
After the download is installed on the computer that needs to be used as the FTP server, I will not introduce the installation process.
3. The process of installing the client and applying for a peanut shell passport and a free domain name is as follows:


Click "register peanut passport", will automatically go to http://www.oray.net (peanut shell official website) to apply for a passport (haha, this passport can not go abroad ). My registered peanut shell passport is in9. After you log on with your passport, the client interface is as follows:


Click "Apply for a free Domain Name" to go to the domain name application page (enter some details first ). Go to the console, click Apply for a free domain name in the example, and follow the prompts to successfully apply for a domain name: in999.vicp.net. Then, log out of the peanut shell client and log on again. in999.vicp.net (because the domain name is not activated yet) will appear under the free Domain Name. Right-click the domain name and select activate service, for example:


Select FTP in the service mode on the activation interface, fill in the introduction, and click Finish. The application for some peanut shells is complete.

4. Download the FTP Server Software Serv-U. Here, I will take the Chinese Version 6.1 as an example to explain that this software can be found on all major sites. If you cannot find a friend, please send me a message on the station and I will send it to you. The specific installation process of the software is not described here, assuming that the software installation is complete. The interface for running Serv-U is as follows:

6. Enter your public IP address here. If you use ADSL dial-up Internet access, leave it blank because the IP address is dynamic. (If you use a static IP address, enter your public IP address here ).

7. Enter the free domain name you have applied for here. Generally, the default port number 21 is used, and the domain type is stored in the INI file. Click Finish. At this point, an in999.vicp.net FTP domain will appear under the domain node.
To accept user login requests, an FTP server only needs to fill in the IP address and port number on the machine where the FTP server is located, the login user can find the FTP server on your machine based on the IP address and port number. In this sense, it is okay to fill in or not to fill in the IP address box in figure 6, the domain name in Figure 7 is also optional. This also shows why two FTP servers (IIS and Serv-U) cannot coexist on the same server ~!~ ---- Fight!

8. Create a user. Right-click a user subnode and choose create user from the shortcut menu. Enter the FTP login username in9.


9. Enter the FTP logon password in9 in the password input box.


10. Set the local directory accessible to the FTP server.


11. Select whether to lock the user in the main directory. If the user is locked, the user can only access the specified directory. Click Finish to complete the creation of the user.




12. After the user configuration is complete, the interface is as follows. There are some permission configurations for this user on the right side. You can study them on your own. I will not elaborate on them here. If you need them, I will post them for further discussion. Now, the FTP server has been set up, and the rest is the connection test with the FTP client.
We recommend that you use the CuteFTP software, because I like to use LeapFTP. Here I will explain it with LeapFTP.
13. Open the FTP software. In the site manager, enter the FTP address, user name, password, and port. Click Connect.

14. The connection is successful.
