Developing solutions that implement software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) remain a major challenge for enterprise and Communications Service providers (CSPs). The rapid evolution of standards and open source software for network nodes, network control, and network orchestration poses a burden for organizations that are evaluating how to implement a new generation of networks.
