Scope of application:
g40-70,g50-70 Lenovo small New notebook sr1000,linux change Win7
Knowledge Point Analysis:
This is changed for Windows 8 Windows 7, but because of the frequent use of ghost and PE, it is necessary to change the GPT to MBR, or it may cause the hard drive to be unrecognized.
Operation Steps:
Note: Because the computer factory using the hard disk is GPT partition format, so if the use of Ghost and PE, is not recognized to the hard disk, this is the normal situation, replace the installation version can be.
Prior to modification: If you are sure that you want to retrofit your laptop's Linux system into a Windows 7 system, please note the following important points:
Because of the Linux system you have installed on your notebook, the settings for your notebook are set by reference to the Windows 8 system, so if you need to install Windows 8 system, then you can install Windows 8 after you have directly backed up your critical data. However, if you need to install a Windows 7 system, the UEFI feature in the BIOS and the GPT partition table need to be changed, so when you convert your system to a Windows 7 system, you need to remove all the partitions from the random Linux system. Because these partitions are created under a GPT partition table, Windows 7 uses an MBR partition table that is incompatible. So when you put your notebook on the other system, you can't install it properly. So please backup all the important data in your notebook hard disk to Removable storage media (such as U disk, mobile hard disk, etc.) before the operation of the Linux system which is installed in your notebook to be retrofitted to Windows 7 system. In order to ensure a smooth installation of the system, we strongly recommend that you use the genuine Windows 7 operating system CD (if your notebook does not have an optical drive, we strongly recommend that you use a USB drive to complete the operation). Do not use the ghost version of Windows 7 or other non-genuine Windows 7 operating system CDs. Otherwise, you will not be able to operate. The main reason is also related to the partitioning method described in the first article.
