We often play games. Some players win and others lose. Every time our opponent wins a point, it gets us farther away. The "win-lose" game seems natural, and many people can hardly imagine a game without "win-lose. In a "win-lose" game, what you lose is in balance with what you win. That's why they call it a zero-sum game. Your opponent's intention is unambiguous: he will do his best to defeat you without violating the rules of the game.
After 1 million years of intermittent hostility between tribes, it is easy for us to think in zero-sum mode and regard each interaction as competition or conflict. Nuclear war (and many conventional wars), economic recession, and global environmental destruction are all about double-loss. Many things that humans are very concerned about, such as love, friendship, parenting, music, art, and the pursuit of knowledge are a win-win proposition. If we only know the game "win-lose", our vision will be narrow, which is very dangerous.
The scientific field that studies these problems is called game theory. It is used in military tactics and strategies, trade policies, enterprise competition, environmental pollution restrictions and nuclear war plans. A typical game is prisoner's dilemma. It is a non-zero-sum game. Win-win, win-lose, and double-win are all possible results. Those "holy" books hardly bring any useful insights into the strategies in this game. This is an effective game.

However, the most important lesson learned from the round robin of a long prisoner's dilemma is about the clarity of strategy, and the jealousy of self-defeating; it is about the importance of a long-term objective over a short-term objective; it is about the dangers of violence and weakness, especially the study of all these (game) Rules as an experimental problem.Game theory also shows that deep historical knowledge is a key survival tool.
