I installed ubuntu with the ubuntu-10.04.4-desktop-i386.iso version.

1. Burn
I bought a 4G and more empty disk. Fortunately, I had enough online talents to burn it smoothly. I wrote an article sharing my installation process and hoped to help others.
First, you need to check whether your computer supports CD burning, computer-> Management-> Device Manager-> View the content under the DVD. If it is a dvd ram, you can dial the disk, of course, there is also an empty drive disk to display the dvd ram. Then follow the steps in the tutorial. You must carefully read the precautions to prevent the burning from being successful. In the upper left corner of the software operation procedure, select your recording disk. If your empty disk is a DVD, select a DVD, and select a CD as a CD. Follow the procedure and I will burn it successfully.
2. Install the system
Create an empty formatted disk to install ubuntu, because the disk type is different from that in the XP system.
First, search for the video on the Internet, such as Baidu search: ubuntu installation tutorial. The general steps of the video are a bit detailed, because I am not sure if my operations are correct during partitioning. I canceled the installation and went to the installation video, A waste of time.
Go to the installation interface. Of course, you must first select the Simplified Chinese language, and then follow the process. It is worth noting that when partitioning, You must select the option of manual partitioning (advanced, then select the formatted disk you have prepared when partitioning, and then select EXT4 for the type to be mounted to/. The best size is 10 Gb to 20 GB. Because your disk should be larger than 20 GB, there is still space available, select the remaining space, select the partition to get a 2 GB swap space (equivalent to the windows virtual memory), and the remaining partition, also, select EXT4 and link it to/home. I have prepared more than 70 GB space for ubuntu, so the result of this 70 GB space is:
/(Equivalent to the system disk) 10 GB
Swap (equivalent to virtual memory) 2 GB
Home (convenient permission for file operations) 60 GB
Tip: If you want to use it for a long time, you can first find out how others partition, and then analyze why, so that you will not regret it After partitioning. I will regret it and then install some software, and reinstall the ubuntu system.
