Geoserver only supports publishing map data in ArcGIS format, that is, map data in. SHP format. If the map data is provided by another vendor, a map data format conversion is required. This topic describes how to view and edit map data.

 

I,Convert map data to SHP Data Format

Geoserver only supports publishing map data in ArcGIS format, that is, map data in. SHP format. Before using geoserver to deploy map data, you must convert the format of map data provided by different map manufacturers. For example, to convert the Mapinfo map data to the SHP format map data of ArcGIS, you need to use the tools provided by MapInfo for installation and replacement. The operation is very simple and will not be detailed here.

 

Ii. Use udig to edit SHP data

First, use udig to open the SHP format map file. Multiple SHP format map data files can be opened at the same time. Open a single map data file is displayed in the map style of the map data file. 3. Export SHP data styles from udig

Udig provides a very powerful map data editing function. In fact, the most common application is to use udig to edit the map data in SHP format and lift the style file from it. The purpose is to modify the encoding. Generally, the map tag displayed by the WMS Service released by the default text encoding is garbled at noon.
