Overview:
The Imagemosaic plug-in in GeoServer can be used to mosaic two or more two images, and overlap multiple images with the same coordinates into a continuous image.
Questions raised:
Recently in the project, involving a large number of image data, in the image of the service publishing, the current operation process is to first the image of the region splicing, and then through the ArcGIS Server published as a WMS service, and then use GWC to slice. Although this way can complete the work of the need, but there are several problems: 1, image splicing workload is large, 2, stitching complete data is large; 3, the slicing speed is slow. In order to solve this problem, we have consulted some data and put forward the work of using Imagemosaic plugin to solve the image splicing.
Solution to the problem:
1. Preparation of data
When you add a Imagemosaic data source, you need to have multiple images, and you need SHP data at multiple image boundaries, and put them under the same directory.
Description : Imagemosaic does not support Erdas image format.
2. Add Imagemosaic Data source
Data storage, adding a new data store, raster data source (IMAGEMOSAIC)
3. Release data
Set override parameters, publishing, new layer, layers
4. Service Preview
Layer Preview->openlayers:
If you can preview it, it means that the service was published successfully, and the example has a black border which is a problem with the data i downloaded.
