Today encountered a small problem, previously downloaded and set as desktop wallpaper a picture in the collation of files accidentally deleted. Since I can't remember the figure from where I found it, I want to save the current desktop wallpaper again. After online inquiry, did not see the correct method of preservation, it is written here memo.
1, install Dconf-editor, can run directly in the terminal apt install Dconf-editor
2, open Dconf-editor Org/gnome/desktop/background, in the right window visible Picture-uri, that is, the current background picture save location. My wallpaper is saved under the/home/username/.local/share folder, where username is the current user name.
In this way, a backup of the background image that was set by right-clicking on the picture was found.
In addition, the system default desktop wallpaper folder is/usr/share/backgrounds.
Get back the deleted UBUNTU16.04 desktop wallpaper image, or save the desktop background picture. 20161002
