Getting Started with Word Animation Tutorial 8: Opening documents on the Internet

When connected to the Internet, users can also open documents located on the Internet, as follows:

1. Click the Open button to eject the Open dialog box.

2. In the File name box, enter the network address of the document you want to open, and this address must include the document name.

3. Click the Open button, Word will connect to the Web server, and then open the document as read-only.
