Getting Started with Photoshop Tutorial: Making a Mac style background

This tutorial will describe how to make a Mac style background. You can use it on many occasions, such as desktop wallpaper, as part of your design, or PowerPoint backgrounds, flash works, and so on. In fact, there is absolutely no need to follow the steps of this tutorial, and you can play it at your own discretion.

1. Create a new canvas, set the background to black, and draw the rectangle to add a linear gradient (I set the canvas size to 1280x1024px).
Choose two kinds of orange to make fine linear gradients (this tutorial gradient settings: #e56b15-#d03403).

2. New Layer
Using the Polygon Lasso tool, draw the triangular selection as shown in the following figure.
Select the Brush tool, choose a large diameter soft angle brush (brush diameter 300px or other), brush opacity set to 15%, along the selection edge, through multiple drawing to create a white fade effect, note that White can not be too strong.

3. Set the blending mode of the layer that contains the white gradient to "overlay".

For example, use the polygonal lasso tool to draw a similar triangular selection, the brush color is set to black, and the brush is applied to draw the black fade effect (you can also use the gradient tool to make the fade color set to black to transparent)
