Picture layout, that is, the text wrapping style of the picture. By default, when a picture is inserted in a document, it is embedded, the picture is inserted at the insertion point, and like text, it can only be dragged and cannot be moved with the arrow keys. And the other layout is called "Floating type", can either drag with the mouse at will, also can be selected with the arrow keys to move. You can change the text wrapping style of a picture by using the following methods.
First, use the dialog box
1. Open the Format Picture dialog box and switch to the Layout tab.
2. Select a floating type of text wrapping as needed.
Perimeter: Text wraps around four weeks of the picture's square border.
Compact: An AutoShape for clip art, WordArt, or other special shapes. The text wraps around the irregular shape of the object.
Below the text: The text is in a different layer from the picture, and the picture is on the lower level. When you can't select an underlying picture, click the Select Object button on the Drawing toolbar, and then you can select the picture.
Floating above the text: The text is in a different layer from the picture, and the picture is on top.
3. Select the horizontal alignment.
If you want additional text wrapping options, click the Advanced button, with more options on the Text Wrapping tab, such as wrapping style, text direction, and distance between objects and text.
4. Click "OK" button.
Second, use the "Picture" toolbar
Select a picture, click the Text Wrapping button on the Picture toolbar, and choose a layout that you want. You can also freely design the wrapping shape of the text by editing the wrapping vertex.
