To make automatic multilevel numbering, in addition to using the method described in the previous section, the use of simple numbering function can also be transformed into multilevel numbering form, the steps are as follows:
1. Select the paragraph you want to add a multilevel number to, and then click the Numbering button on the Formatting toolbar to add a number to the beginning of each paragraph.
2. If you are not satisfied with the numbering form or format, right-click on either paragraph and select the Bullets and Numbering command on the shortcut menu to open the Bullets and Numbering dialog box.
3. Select the style you want, if not, select one of the closest, and then click the Customize button to set the form and format you want in the Custom Numbered List dialog box. When you are finished setting, click OK to close the dialog box. The number in the document has changed as set.
4. Select the paragraph you want to lower the level, click the Increase Indent button on the Formatting toolbar (or press the TAB key), and the number of paragraphs in this section will change to the next level number. To raise the level, click the Decrease Indent button (or press the Shift+tab key).
5. If you are not satisfied with this level number, right-click on the paragraphs, and then format the numbering in the same way as steps 2 and 3.
6. Continue to lower or raise the level of other paragraphs, and then format.
The same method can be used for translating bullets into multilevel symbols, and the animation of the action is as follows:
