Vertical and horizontal blending is different from changing the text direction (see Introduction to Word Animation 128), which changes the direction of part of the text in the same page, from the original portrait to landscape orientation, and the original horizontal to vertical, especially for a small number of words (such as dates). Action steps are as follows:
1. Select the text to change direction.
2. Perform "format" → "Chinese Layout" → "Horizontal mixed row", open the vertical and Horizontal dialog box.
3. Select the Fit row width option to automatically compress the text after it is rotated to the same height as the row.
4. Click "OK" button.
Tips:
1. If you want to delete the horizontal vertical format, select the text to which this format applies, and then click the Delete button in the vertical and horizontal dialog box.
2. You can apply vertical and horizontal formatting only to text in one paragraph.
3. If you want to continue tightening the text, execute the format → font → character spacing tab, and continue to shrink its proportions in the Zoom box.
