Gif2swf--gif file to Flash is extremely simple

Although it is easy to convert a GIF file into a SWF-formatted file in Flash, this work can become cumbersome if you want to convert a lot of GIF files. The author found a GIF to SWF conversion tool--gif2swf, it can put your dynamic or static GIF file into dynamic or static SWF, so you can maintain image quality (for banners, icons, profiles, etc.) in the case of optimizing file size. The latest version of GIF2SWF is V2.5 (shareware) with a file size of 475KB.

The use of gif2swf is simple, as shown in the software after the software is installed (Figure 1). Click "Add File" to select a GIF file, for the convenience of batch selection, the author recommends that you will convert the GIF file in the same directory (Figure 2), if the file to be converted is not in the same directory, you can click " Add Software "Find the GIF file you want to convert, and then convert it to a SWF file at a time. If you want to select the GIF file again, you can click the "Reset" button.

Then in the options area for playback settings (that is, generated flash animation settings), select the "Change Cycle time" single option to set the time to cycle playback, "using the original History loop" is the use of the GIF file itself default playback time. Forever loops, custom playback times, these two items only select the "Change cycle length" will be displayed.

If your requirements are high, you can also click on the menu-The Publish Settings dialog (Figure 3) to make further settings to optimize the SWF file.

Border School: Because the Flash Player has an error in scaling, when you want to zoom to 100& to watch the animation, you actually see only 99.9% of it, this option will create a transparent boundary around all the bitmaps to correct this error.

Use GIF file background: If you activate this option, the shockwave background will be the same as the background specified in the GIF file. Note, if you select the "Optimize picture size" item at the same time, it will bring different effects.

Optimize picture size: Optimize picture size. In the animated GIF, the first frame fixed the size of the picture, while in the SWF format all the bitmaps have a separate size, if you select the "Optimize picture size" can optimize the size of the file. If you enable this option, all pixels that have the same color around the image will be deleted (if you choose to use the GIF background option, only pixels with the same color around the image will be deleted).

Prevent EDIT: Protection prevents import.

Automatically generate HTML files: HTML pages that generate an embedded SWF file while converting to a SWF file.

Full Flash Right-click menu: If you want the program to generate an embedded SWF file HTML page with "Zoom in," "Shrink", "quality" and so on the complete Flash menu (see Figure 4), you can select this item.

We can then click the Convert Switch button to convert the GIF file into a SWF file, and the converted SWF file and the HTML file are automatically saved in the same directory as the source file.
