I use centos:

Yum install git

Yum install git-svn git-email git-gui gitk

Some minor errors occurred when using yum install git:

This is because CentOS needs to add the EPEL source, so:

Sudo rpm-Uvh http://mirrors.sohu.com/fedora-epel/5/i386/epel-release-5-4.noarch.rpm

Installed successfully!
Although the installation is simple, we recommend that you use the source code to install the package manager. the installed version may be different from the current version!
Source code installation:

Download the latest stable version of the source code from the download page of The Git official website, and then compile and install

$ Wget http://kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/git-1.7.3.5.tar.bz2
$ Tar-xjvf git-1.7.3.5.tar.bz2
$ Git-1.7.3.5 cd
$ Make prefix =/usr all;
$ Sudo make prefix =/usr install;
