Easy setup process, run a test now.

NPM is a node package management and distribution tool that has become an unofficial standard for publishing node modules (packages). with NPM, you can quickly find the packages you want to use for a particular service, download, install, and manage the packages you have installed.

The following installs the Appium via NPM.

Of course, this kind of appium will be very slow, in order to respect the official online introduction, and most of the appium related materials will also introduce this installation method.

(Note: Using this installation method is not with the graphical interface, you need to go to the official website to find appiumforwindows installation use)

It is suggested that the author lacks "VCBuid.exe".

If the component is not installed, do one of the following:

1) Install Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows Server 2008 and. NET Framework 3.5;

2) Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008.

This is because Appium is developed by. NET, so it relies on. NET Framework-related components. You can of course follow the prompts to download installation 1) or 2) and try to install Appium again.

But in fact, we can download the corresponding Appium version of the operating system on the Appium official website.

Currently the latest version is appiumforwindows_1_4_0_0.zip, note that this is a Windows version and if your PC is for Mac please download appium-1.3.7.dmg. Although you have seen these downloads, I do not guarantee that you can download them down. The reason you understand!

Let's take windows as an example and unzip the downloaded Appiumforwindows_1_4_0_0.zip as follows:

Double-click "Appium-installer.exe" to install. According to the prompt, step by step installation, here no longer verbose. Eventually generate the Appium icon on the desktop, and when I double-click the icon, then the problem comes.

This simple, Baidu ". NET Framework 4.0", Baidu Software Center provides the framework for download, download and install it.

(Note: Actually installs the newest appiumforwindows, if lacks the framwork component, will prompt you directly to install, directly to the official website to download installs can)

The ". NET Framework 4.0" Installation is complete, start appium again, and then pop up the prompt again:
