Windows 8.1 has officially renamed the computer "this computer", and when we double-click to open "This computer", it's also obvious that there are other changes: Windows 8.1 defaults to displaying videos, pictures, documents, downloads, music, desktop and other common folders.
Here's how to delete the above folder: This is done by modifying the system registry.
There is a risk of modifying the registry, please make a backup before making changes!!!
Open the Run dialog via the shortcut key windows+r and enter regedit . Navigate to the following key values:
32-bit system
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\explorer\mycomputer\namespace\
The 64-bit system also contains the following key values in addition to the above key values
Hkey_local_machine\software\wow6432node\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mycomputer\namespace\
Expand NameSpace to delete the corresponding key values according to the following corresponding relationship:
