Google launches new backup and sync Apps for Mac and Windows users

It is reported that Google will release a new backup and sync app for Mac and Windows users on June 28.

Google has just announced it will launch its backup and Sync app, which is designed to help users back up files and photos from their computer to Google drive. Backup and sync is an update to the Google Drive app, but now also integrates with Google Photos's desktop uploader.

Google says:

"Backup and synchronization is primarily for consumer users. We recommend that G Suite users continue to use drive for MAC/PC until later this year, the new enterprise-oriented solution drive File Stream (currently in the EAP phase) is universally applicable to all G suite Basic, Business, Ent Erprise, Education, and nonprofit. The drive File Stream allows users to access large enterprise datasets without occupying the same space as the hard drive. ”
