Article Title: Google leads the team into the Linux camp. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. Includes basic categories such as desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, and open source.

In July 7, Google led nine generals (world-famous PC and chip manufacturers) to enter the Linux camp, triggering a storm that could not be calmed down for a long time. What do you think about this?

In the past, there were no large enterprises in the Linux camp, and a group of small radish heads were the first companies. Today, Google leads the brigade into the Linux camp, and the people in the camp are a little nervous. Linux camp members have different attitudes and different situations. How do you think about this? Did Google pick the pick? Obviously, the problem is not that simple. According to Eric Schmidt, Google's president, in July 12, to Reuters, regarding the Chrome operating system, "In fact, Google does not care about its share of the look at market ." Obviously, Google doesn't see the small market share that Linux currently occupies. Google's judgment (starting point) is that the world's IT market is about to move to the "crust plate" and focus on Internet applications. The movement of the crust plate is very slow, but it is always in progress. To this end, Google must be prepared.

Google Chrome does not have common features. In the past, because of its absence of the Linux version, it was never noticed (or understood) by most people in the Linux community ). Today, Google has chosen the GNU/Linux system to support this powerful browser, leading nine hardware manufacturers to suddenly break into the Linux camp, which is a bit abrupt. The Linux camp was originally too small to accommodate this large army. However, this does not matter. When there are more people, the website will naturally become larger. According to relevant reports, HP and Acer are ready to launch Chrone computers by the end of this year. It can be seen that Google has been conducting an internal test on the Chrome operating system for a long time. From this, we can see that the Chrome computer is targeted at Windows 7, and (basically) it is not the leader to deal with GNU/Linux Ubuntu. According to Gerry Carr, Canonical global market manager, in his statement on "Computer World" in July 10, Canonical has seen the current situation and understands that Chrome will not pose a threat to Ubuntu, it's really cool to see under a big tree.

Return to the Linux camp. According to the statistics on www.distrowatch.com, there are currently 60 derivatives in Ubuntu (Linux distribution branch ). The Ubuntu family can be described as "thriving people. It's strange to think that there are only 200 people in Canonical. why is the energy so huge? Its leader Mark Shuttleworth's genius will surely be able to lead the international Ubuntu community through this Mark. Since the Chrome operating system is also the GNU/Linux release version, its general direction is not in line with the development goals of Ubuntu, the two are both competing, there is a natural thing to do, we do not have to make a fuss. Jim Zemlin, executive chairman of the Linux Foundation, spoke highly of Google's initiative and believed that it was a great thing for Google to expand the Linux camp. The Linux camp should have such a mind and generosity. To put it bluntly, it is no longer appropriate for Google to support GNU/Linux. Google will make money, but Google will not make money by selling software, but by making money by advertising. Does Google look at GNU/Linux by accident? None. In fact, Ubuntu and Google are good friends. in terms of GNU/Linux, maybe Ubuntu is Google's teacher!

Note: China also needs to have a Ubuntu derivative (release version), for example, put it on a USB flash disk. It may be unpleasant for someone to hear this. In fact, my idea is to put Ubuntu on a USB flash disk and give it to you (the popular product) (the angry person for Ubuntu). What are you unhappy about? USB flash disks, non-mainstream products. Put Ubuntu into a USB flash drive, and the size of the USB flash drive is so small, it is really pitiful. What do you mean?
