Beijing time May 25 morning news, Google said in Thursday, they will receive 250,000 requests a week to remove links to pirated content.
Google Now starts recording requests that are received every day that require removal of search results that point to protected content. Copyright owners will inform Google that the search results linked to the site violated their copyright, Google will then execute a process, the results will often lead to the search results linked to the infringement site was removed.
Google says requests for removal of search links have risen markedly in recent years, and now receives more requests per week than all 2009 requests. Last month, Google received 1.2 million requests from 1000 copyright holders to remove links from 23,000 sites.
Google, for the first time, added all of its removal search requests since July 2011 to the online transparency report, which initially met government demands to show what was removed from Google's servers. But now the claims of copyright owners have been added to the report, making the government less demanding. (Wind flute)
