Graduation Year Summary

I have graduated from Brant for more than a year. I have had many experiences in this year and have done many things, although I have only learned a few things. I have been confused over the past year and have been confused several times.

In the last few months of graduation, Brant, as a new graduate student, has a special passion for his work. We have the honor to find a challenging task and develop a stability testing tool on Android. In order to complete this tool by the end time, Brant is constantly learning the underlying android technology, reading the source code, and working overtime. During that period of time, I worked for about 30 consecutive days and solved one problem after another. The Brant technology has also greatly improved. During the process of developing tools, I also encountered a difficult problem, that is, I tested an application on the mobile phone of android2.3 using the test tool I developed. The tested application was quite slow. Because it was too strange to find the cause of the problem, it was also put on hold for a long time. Later, my boss noticed that he was looking for developers to help me solve the problem. I politely refused, and I made up my mind to solve this problem. In the end, I spent about five days and found the root cause of the problem. The problem lies in the tested application. In those five days, I spent most of my time thinking about this issue. In order to discover more clues and more valuable information, I also got into touch with a lot of underlying Linux knowledge and semaphores, strace, Proc. Although this problem is not the cause of my development tools, it has also had many positive effects. The year-end performance evaluation has also achieved good results.

During the Chinese New Year, I came into contact with Bitcoin. I read bitcoin: an illusory and real financial world, and I have a certain understanding of Bitcoin. I was wondering if I could write a program to monitor the price of bitcoin in real time. according to certain rules, I would like to buy a program and sell it at a high price or a low price. For example, if Bitcoin has the lowest price within seven hours, I will buy it. When the price rises to 100.5% of the purchase price, it is sold. After writing, I did a simulated verification. During the verification process, I realized that I was too naive. Because I may make a profit of 0.5% for each transaction, but if I lose money, it will accompany 30%. Simply using rules and programs to automatically sell out is basically not profitable. So I gave up.

But when I thought of my poor income, I was so impetuous that I wanted to switch to stock trading in 2014. Out of the confidence that only one of the 10 people can make a profit, I can make a profit. So I started to get into stock trading. during the weekend, I began to read stock trading books, such as Peter Lynch's successful investment. In the process of contact, I slowly found that stock trading is far from as simple as I thought. It takes time and money, and it is not what I can spend on stock trading now. And I gradually realized that improving my internal strength is the most important thing, so I gave up again.

I started to read books, but I bought far more books than I had read. At present, there are nearly 100 unread books in my kindle account. During that time, I read "7 HABITS OF HIGH PERFORMANCE awareness", "dark time", "Treat time as a friend", and "book splitting". every day before the age of 30, there are some other about 15 books in total. When I was reading these books, I felt very inspired. I was very excited in every book, and I also recommended to do things according to the above method. But till now, I have not executed any further, and I have forgotten about the content in the book. But at that time, I didn't feel this way. I was still reading it. What I thought was to finish reading the book as soon as possible, there are more than 90 books in my Amazon account wish list. Inadvertently, I was exposed to speed reading, which was exactly what I needed at the time. I bought software to practice speed reading. I contacted him for about one and a half months. He practiced for about one to two hours every day and was put on hold. At present, my reading speed may increase slightly, but it is far from a qualitative change. I have not reached the entry level in terms of learning methods and speed.

At work, in 2014, I continued to develop and run my stability testing tools. As well as better and better, the number of projects using my tools in the company has gradually increased. At that time, I attended two lectures. The first time I shared the lectures at the department level, I had no experience because I was the first to share the lectures. PPT writing is poor, and the content I want to share is difficult, and my ability to express is poor, so the first sharing is not very successful. The second time, it was actually a company-level bug sharing competition. I had the honor to enter the top 10 among 200 people. My use case is the problem that the tested application is stuck when I develop a stable tool. After entering the top 10, there will be mentor counseling, tutoring and give the mentor a trial to complete the finals. My mentor is a development director. When I give a test lecture to my mentor, every page of PPT provides detailed modification suggestions. In his words, I basically want to completely rewrite the PPT, and I want to do my best to bring my boring technical knowledge to life. I also did what he said, and I started to write a verbatim draft 10 days before the finals. I tried two or three times a day to modify the PPT and the verbatim draft. In the end, I also achieved good results and learned a lot. First, I know that boring things can also be vivid. Second, I know that even if the expression ability is poor, I can make up for it by writing a verbatim draft and trying it over and over again.

Now, I gradually realized that reading alone is not necessarily rewarding. Turn the knowledge gained from books into your own. The most important thing is practice, followed by thinking and summary. When I was discussing the importance of blog writing in Liu weipeng's "dark time", I was thinking about writing a blog. For me, the price/performance ratio may not be too high, so I didn't care. Now I have realized the importance of blog writing, or the importance of summing up the knowledge or ideas I have learned. This is why I am writing now!
