My latest version is 42 MB.

The tarpackage name is gcc-4.2.2.tar.bz2

Decompress it command is bzcat gcc-4.2.2.tar.bz2 | tar xvf-(everything goes smoothly without errors)

Next I'm in mkdir/usr/local/gcc-4.2.2

Configuration. /configure -- prefix =/usr/local/The gcc-4.2.2 -- enable-threads = posix -- disable-checking -- enable -- long -- host = i386-redhat-linux -- with-system-zlib -- enable- ages = c, c ++ and java)


This step is called "make". I have compiled it for 24 hours and it is not good for me to post it now.

It takes a long time to compile it. I don't know whether it is normal or not. Please give me some advice.
