Part One: Upload the required upgrade files to the flash space of the switch
For the three-layer switching system version upgrade, the author often use the following two methods, both of the switch and the PC to form a local network ,
Method One, on the PC side, turn on the TFTP service , the switch uses get to obtain the PC side upgrade file
Method Two, open the FTP service on the switch, access and upload the upgrade files on the PC side
First, using the PC-side to open the TFTPD32 service, the switch as a client get upgrade files
(1) on the PC to open the TFTP software, only need to open, do not need to configure, as shown in:
Where the default root directory is the directory where the Tftpd32.exe software is located, we need to extract the files from the 4 upgrade to here
(2) in the exchange of user mode, get the 4 files, if the space is not large enough, you can separate the original files, and then delete
172.16.1.100Get Config.def//The default configuration file172.16.1.100Get S3600_V606.BTM//bootrom File172.16.1.100Get H3C-HTTP3.2.1-0001. Web//Web page files for switch Web management172.16.1.100Get S36si_e-cmw310-r1702p44-s168.bin//host software for the switch
Second, upload the upgrade file by using the FTP service on the switch
(1) Configure the switch to open the FTP service
// Enter system view [H3C]FTP server enable // Open FTP Service [h3c]local-user admin // Create Admin user 5201351 // Set Password FTP // Apply this user to the FTP service, the FTP service does not need to configure level levels
(2) Next we can use FTP to access the switch on the PC side, according to the prompt to enter the user name, password, and upload each of the 4 upgrade required files
Part II: Configure the switch to enable the switch to use the uploaded upgrade file
(1) Configure the switch, enter the following command.
// Specify the next time the switch starts the upgraded bootrom file // Specify the host software that the switch uses for the next boot
After the configuration is complete, we can use the display boot-loader command to show the host software (. bin file) that the switch uses for the next boot.
