Hard links and symbolic links for Linux

Hard link (hard links): Creates an extra entry for a file.  when used , there is no difference with the file; when deleted , only links are deleted and files are not deleted;

limitations of hard Links: 1. You cannot refer to documents other than your own file system, that is, you cannot refer to other partitions; 2. Unable to refer to the catalogue;

Operation: ln file link, only link file;

Symbolic links (Symbolic Links): Overcome the limitations of hard links, similar to shortcuts , using the same as hard links.

If you delete the file first, it will become a bad link (broken), and LS will be displayed in different colors (Ubuntu, red);

Operation: ln-s Item link, You can link file and directory;
