Many friends surf through self-built proxy servers, hubs, switches, routers, and other devices at home. Many terminals and network devices are required for most home computer networks. In addition, the network structure is simple and computer network wiring may be ignored. For wireless network users, you do not need to consider network wiring. However, the wired network is flexible and secure for economic, compatibility, and transmission speed considerations. Next we will talk about the experiences of room wiring.
I. cabling principles
1. Integrated Wiring
The layout of telephone lines, cable TV cables, power lines, and twisted pair wires should be considered comprehensively during Cabling Design. The telephone line and power line cannot be too close to the twisted pair wire to avoid interference with the twisted pair wire, but it should not be too far away. Keep the relative position around 20cm.
2. Focus on appearance
Home wiring pays more attention to appearance. Therefore, cabling construction should be carried out at the same time as during decoration. Try to bury the cable pipe trough under the floor or decorative board, and the information socket should also be embedded, bury the bottom box in the wall.
3. Simple Design
Because the number of information points is small, it is very convenient to manage, so home wiring does not need to use distribution frames. One end of the twisted pair wires is connected to the information outlet, and the other end can be directly connected to the wire set device, saving money and reducing management difficulty.
4. Proper Redundancy
The service life of Integrated Wiring is 15 years. Maybe the number of computers in the current family is small, but no one can predict the extent to which household appliances will develop in the future, it may not take several years for all household appliances to be managed over the Internet. Therefore, proper redundancy is necessary.
Ii. Issues to be considered when designing home cabling Solutions
1. Number of information points
Generally, since the master bedroom usually has two masters, it is recommended to install two information points so that both sides can use the computer at the same time. For other bedrooms and living rooms, you only need to install an information point for your children or temporarily changing the location of your computer. Especially when you have a laptop, you should consider installing an information point in each room and room. There is usually no need to install information points in a restaurant, because few people use computers there. If an information interface is reserved for a residential area, a twisted pair wire from the interface to the cabling equipment should be provided to connect the home network to the residential area broadband.
In addition, it is best to set up two more concealed locations in the center and the front and back balconies ~ Three information points for future installation of wireless network access point devices, wireless network connection for home computers, and portable laptop to outdoor work.
2. Information outlet location
When selecting the location of the information outlet, you should also pay attention to it. It should be easy to use, not blocked by furniture, but also concealed and inconspicuous. In the bedroom, the information outlet can be located on both sides of the bedside; in the living room, it can be located at the end of the sofa near the window; in the study, it should be located near the desk, the vertical distance between the information outlet and the ground should not be less than 20 cm.
3. Location of the cabling Device
Because the assembly line equipment is rarely in contact with each other, the assembly line equipment should be located in the most concealed position on the premise of ensuring good ventilation. Note that the power supply is required for the wire collecting equipment. Therefore, the power outlet must be provided for the wire collecting equipment during the decoration. In addition, wire collecting equipment should be installed in wet, easy to get wet and electromagnetic interference is very serious.
4. Stay away from interference sources
Twisted Pair wires and computers should be kept as far away as possible from washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and electric fans to avoid interference with transmission signals in twisted pair wires.
5. Separate Power Supply
The power cord used by computers, printers, and set-line equipment should be separated from the power cord used by fluorescent lamps, washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, and fans to provide separate power supplies to ensure the safety and stability of computers.
6. Route Selection
The twisted pair cable should avoid direct sun exposure and should not be placed in wet places. In addition, we should try to stay away from commonly used channels and heavy loads to avoid possible friction to ensure the electrical performance of twisted pair wires.
Iii. Room wiring plan
1. Two-bedroom home Wiring
The master bedroom is equipped with two information points, which are located on both sides of the double bed so that both sides can use their laptops at the same time. The auxiliary bedroom is equipped with information points, which are located near the bed or desk of a single bed, which is convenient for children or visiting guests. An information point is installed in the living room, which is located at one end of the sofa or a relatively hidden location near the coffee table. It is easy to use a laptop to work or entertain in the living room.
In addition, a twisted pair wire is introduced from the information outlet provided by the residential area to the Collection line equipment to achieve LAN access for the residential area network. The telephone line and power cord shall be laid in charge, and the distance between them shall be 20 cm. The distance between the information outlet, voice outlet and power outlet should also be 20 cm. The wiring scheme can be referred to the design, where "." indicates the information point.
Put the twisted pair wires into the PVC pipe and place them in the floor cushion. When a wall needs to be crossed, holes are made close to the ground. The information outlet adopts the wall type, and the bottom box is embedded in the wall. The distance between the information outlet and the ground is 20 cm, and the distance from the power outlet is also 20 cm. Wire collection devices (hubs or switches) are installed in the secondary bedroom. We recommend that you use five desktop devices, which can be fixed on the side of the desk near the bedside, saving space and ensuring proper ventilation, at the same time, the appearance of the device is not affected by direct exposure.
2. three-bedroom home Wiring
The two-bedroom architecture is the same, so we will not repeat it here. Because the three-bedroom living room is usually relatively large, you can consider installing an information point on the walls on both sides, both located 1 m ~ from the window ~ M hidden location, easy to access the computer at the same time. The requirements for integrated cabling are identical to those for two-bedroom cabling. The three-bedroom cabling method is the same as that of the two-bedroom architecture. Note that "." indicates an information point.
3. Duplex home Wiring
The design of the master bedroom and auxiliary bedroom upstairs, and the residential broadband link are the same as the two-bedroom, so we will not go into details. An information point is installed on the walls on both sides of the lobby on the first floor. The information points are located 1 m ~ M hidden location, easy to connect to the computer or Wireless AP at the same time, holes in the floor and walls and penetrate into the PVC tube, to achieve twisted pair wires in the room between the floor. We recommend that you install the cabling equipment on the back of a certain level of stairs for easy maintenance without affecting the appearance. The requirements for Integrated Wiring are the same as those for two-bedroom systems, where "." indicates the information point.
If the residential broadband allows multiple users to access each household and DHCP is used to dynamically allocate IP addresses, you only need to use a cross line to connect the hub to the information outlet provided by the residential area. If the cell does not provide the DHCP service, you need to set the P address for each computer. If the residential area only allocates one IP address for each household and limits the number of access requests through the MAC address, you must use a Broadband Router or proxy server. When using a Broadband Router, use a pair of twisted pair wires to connect the WLAN port of the router and the information outlet of the residential area, and then use another crossover line to connect the LAN port of the router and the home assembly line equipment, if you use Windows ICs as a proxy server, you need two NICs, one being used to connect to the community. A network card connects to the home network.
