How can brand machines Not Ghost system? Brand machines cannot Ghost system solution?
The reason brand machines cannot use the Ghost system: Generally, brand machines have a hidden Small Partition (1st partitions, usually c: disks) used to protect the system. If you use a GhostXP dial for automatic installation, errors often occur during the automatic Ghost process. Check whether there are hidden small partitions on the hard disk. You can use the Partition Magic 8.05 traditional edition in the Ghost XP boot disc menu to check whether there is a 10 m Partition at the top of the status bar, this small partition is 1st partitions.

If you use another method to install the system, you only need to manually install the Ghost when starting the ghost XP installation disk. Generally, the hidden partitions are skipped. After installing XP, the system generally enters the graphic interface. However, the system is generally unavailable after the restart. The system prompts that the file is damaged or lost, for example, hal. dll is lost.

This is because boot in the C root directory. the INI file is invalid, which causes the system to start from C: Windows by default, but because your Windows XP is not installed on drive C (the hidden Small Partition is generally the true drive C, ghost XP has actually been attached to the D disk), so the system fails to start.

The solution to Ghost failure on brand-name machines is to re-edit the Boot. ini file.

1. If the system enters the desktop for the first time after installing XP (do not restart ). You can modify boot in the C: root directory you see. ini (You Need To deselect "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" in the view under the folder option and check "show all files and folders ").

The general boot. ini is as follows:

[Boot loader]

Timeout = 3

Default = multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) WINDOWS

[Operating systems]

Multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) WINDOWS = "Microsoft Windows XP Professional"/noexecute = optin/fastdetect/DETECTHAL

"C: Arldr =" dostoolbox ""

Change partition (1) to partition (2) and save it.

Explanation: "partition (1)" is the unique partition (1st partitions) on the first drive in the computer ). If there are two partitions (C and D), partition C is partition (1), and partition D is partition (2 ). Partition (2) is the "D" disk actually installed on your Ghost XP.

Now the system can be started normally.

2. If the system has restarted after it first enters the desktop after installing XP and cannot enter the system, follow these steps:

Use the Ghost XP installation disk to restart the system, and select "dostoolbox" from the disc boot menu ".

Enter "copy space edit.com Space c:" at the command prompt, press enter, copy edit.com to the c: root directory, and enter c :. Type "attrib space-h space-r space-s space Boot. ini" to cancel hiding, read-only, and system attributes of Boot. ini, and press Enter.

Type "edit space Boot. ini" and press Enter.

Change partition (1) to partition (2) according to the above method, save and exit.

Type "attrib space + h space + r space + s space Boot. ini", recreate the hidden, read-only, and system attributes of Boot. ini, and press Enter.

Start the system, complete!

Now you can start Boot. ini with the Windows PE that comes with the CD.

Note: If the hard disk does not have hidden small partitions, you do not need to modify boot. ini.

Since Ghost XP is actually installed on the "D" disk, an error occurs when you install and run the one-click Restore wizard and the one-click Ghost backup system. To back up the system, you must use Ghost manually.

Description of data in the Boot. ini file:

"Timeout" specifies the Windows waiting time before the default Operating System is selected.

"Default" specifies the default Operating System.

"Scsi (0)" indicates that the primary controller (usually the only controller) is responsible for this device. If two SCSI controllers exist and the disk is associated with the second controller, the second controller is called "scsi (1 )". If the system uses an IDE, an enhanced IDE (EIDE), or an enhanced small device interface (ESDI) drive, or if the system uses a SCSI adapter without a built-in BIOS, replace "scsi" with "multi ".

Disk (0) refers to the SCSI logical unit (LUN) to be used ). It can be an independent disk, but most SCSI settings have only one LUN for each scsi id.

"Rdisk (0)" refers to physical disk 1

"Partition (1)" is the unique partition on the first drive in the computer. If there are two partitions (C and D), partition C is partition (1), and partition D is partition (2 ).
