Q: How can I disable access to a drive letter? I want to make the e-disk completely blocked. Can't I write or read it?
A: There are many methods. You can introduce a simple method: Enter "gpedit" in "Start> Run. msc, open the Group Policy, and turn on the Local Computer Policy → user configuration → manage template → Windows Components → Windows Resource Manager option.
In the settings window on the right, select "prevent access to the drive from my computer", right-click this option, and select "properties ", the "prevent access to drive properties from my computer" window is displayed. There are three options in the window, they are "not configured", "enabled", and "disabled ".
Select "enabled", and a drop-down list of selected drives will appear below. If you want to restrict the use of a drive, just select the drive. For example, to restrict the use of drive C, select "restrict drive C only ".
If you want to disable all drives, including optical drives, you can select "restrict all drives ". After the settings are complete, when you open the drive again, a prompt box indicating that the drive cannot be opened will pop up. Even the DIR command, run dialog box, and image network drive dialog box cannot be used to view the drive directory.
