How can I mount more than 16 t partitions under fedora? -- Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For details, refer to the following section. This time we met a requirement to mount 20 TB of partition space under fedora12.
Use the parted command to separate 20 TB of space
Number Start End Size File system Name ?? Why?
1 17.4kB 19.9 TB 19.9 TB ext4 primary
But whether it is EXT3 or EXT4, the default file block size is 4096
The maximum supported space is 16 Tb (both 32-bit and 64-bit) and cannot be formatted.
Try to change 4096 to 8192 for formatting
Mkfs. ext4-B-F 8192/dev/sdb1 formatted successfully
However, the mount fails at all times.
[Root @ localhost/] # mount-t ext4/dev/sdb1/mnt
Mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on/dev/sdb1,
Missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog-try
Dmesg | tail or so
