Today, a friend asked me: I forgot the password of the Windows system administrator. What should I do?
I tried to find information on the Internet to solve the problem. The final method is as follows (the experiment product used: self-built machine ):
Main Idea: Find the Sam file under c: \ winnt \ system32 \ config and delete it.
1: first, let's look at the disk format of windows. I mounted it to the C: disk in the NTFS format, and my D: disk in the FAT32 format.
2: Use the DOS boot disk to enter DOS to delete the Sam file. Because it is in NTFS format and DOS is not recognized, I downloaded a ntfspro ProgramPlaced on disk D.
3: restart the machine. After Entering dos, the original D: disk is changed to C: disk (because the DOS does not recognize the NTFS format, press ntfspro.exe on this disk and press Enter. After ntfspro is installed, C is not recognized, the drive letter is changed to something else, and my drive letter is changed to H:. Then, enter the directory H: \ winnt \ system32 \ config and type del Sam to delete the Sam file.
4: restart the host. Do not enter the system with any password during logon!
