the Director Server is installed, but how does I know which database and user is being used?

Answer
The Director Server installer (install anywhere) outputs a file named/<director Install>/bin/db-config-ia.cds W Hich contains information including the database driver, database name, and user.

This does not necessarily mean, the installer was successful. If There were issues, such as a bad user or database name, or insufficient creditials to create tables and then the Director Would default to the hypersonic database.
