Data loss is often seen in the process of using ArcMap software. A red exclamation point appears in front of the layer when data is lost! The data display area has no data displayed. There are two ways to fix this:

1, select the missing data layer, right--properties;

2. Open the Properties window and select "Source", click the Set Data Source button to reset the data source;

3. Open the Window Wizard to browse to the data source to open.

4, you can also follow the selection of the lost data layer, right--data--the method of repairing the data;

5, in the Pop-up window browse to the data storage file open.

6, with the method of data repair, when the other layer data source path in the file is the same as the repair data data source path, it will also be repaired at the same time. After the repair is complete, the exclamation point disappears and the data is displayed.
