How do I delete an account?

On the Start screen, click or click Contacts.

Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, and click Set.

(If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then move the pointer down, and then click Settings.) )

Click or click Account.

Select the account you want to delete.

Click or click Delete Account or remove all accounts.

This removes the account from contacts, but does not delete any contacts in the original account. You can still see these contacts when you log on to the account directly.

Attention

Deleting your Microsoft account (the account you use to log on to Windows) will also remove all your accounts from "Contacts", "Mail", "Calendar", and "message". You may want to hide these contacts instead of deleting them.
