To use wireless as a WiFi hotspot in Apple's Mac system, it requires a computer to have other network access, which means it needs a network that can be used for the internet, such as a wired network. Especially for small partners who use MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, they sometimes need to share a wireless WiFi network with their mobile phones when they are out. So how do you set up the Mac WiFi hotspot? The following small series for everyone to demonstrate the Mac to do WiFi hotspot process, take a look at it!

Since I use a MacBook Pro with only one wireless network interface, I need to install an external network card on my computer, as shown in the picture

What I'm going to do next is to use this wired network to share it with other devices using Wi-Fi on a Mac computer. Then click to open the System Preferences application, as shown in the figure

Then click to open the Sharing feature in the System Preferences window, as shown in the picture

Next, in the Sharing window, click the "Internet Sharing" option in the list on the left, as shown in the picture

Then click the Drop-down list of connections that share the following sources and select the network interface that we want to share. What I'm currently trying to share is the Thunderbolt Ethernet wired network, as shown in the figure

Note: If your Mac is wired for dial-up Internet access, select Ppoe as your shared source.

Next, select the Wi-Fi option in the list shared to your computer with the following ports, as shown in the figure

Select the network interface for sharing when you are ready, click on the "Wi-Fi Option" button at the bottom right.

You can then configure the security settings for your wireless network:

Network Name: That is, the name of the wireless network;

Frequency band: Please keep the default is good;

Security: Please set WPA2 personal level;

Password: Set a 8-bit character password;

Next, click the "Internet Sharing" option on the left in the shared window, and then click the "Start" button, as shown in the picture

You can then see in the shared window that the current green light is already lit, indicating that wireless Wi-Fi has been set to take effect.

At this point you can see the original wireless icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen has changed, click to see the current wireless WiFi hotspot information.

Next we use other devices to try WiFi hotspots shared by Macs, and here, for example, in the wireless list, you can see the wireless hotspot in the Mac settings, which is the wireless that starts with capital B.

Click on this wireless, enter before we set the wireless hotspot in the Mac password, to connect.

The wireless WiFi hotspot connection to the MAC has been shown to be successful at this time, as shown in the figure

Then we open a Web page on the IPhone's Safari browser and open it properly, indicating that the WiFi hotspot on the MAC is working properly.

End

The above is the Mac to do WiFi Hot process introduction, we see it? hope to help everyone!
