We know that the cloud hosts file transfer is a relatively complex thing, often need to build an FTP server or with other tools to complete. Here's a simple and easy way to transfer files to a Linux server.
For the row Cloud Butler, the Linux file transfer is the same as the Windows file transfer, we have configured a 1G network disk for each Linux host as intermediate media for file transfer between the client and the host.
So how do I transfer files to a Linux server?
First, what is the host network disk?
In order to achieve faster, more secure, more cost-saving file transfer needs, we in the user to import the host row Cloud Butler platform, automatically assigned to each host a host network disk, the network disk will be mounted in the remote connection host process as the host's logical disk, convenient for users to transfer files.
Second, what is the internal network file transfer?
In the process of file transfer, if we transmission through the public network, it is obvious that the public network bandwidth constraints, occupy the cloud host public network bandwidth resources, and even affect the normal access and use of the host. If you are paying by traffic, you will incur additional charges. In addition FTP file transfer mode also need to open server 21/22 port, the way of intranet file transfer without opening 21/22 port, to eliminate this security risk.
1. Go to Remote Desktop
In order to achieve the most smooth file transfer effect, we recommend that users create cloud host Remote Desktops in the form of intranet IP access. After logging in to the cloud host through the row Cloud Butler, the user in the right panel, the default is the "File Transfer" tab, in the File transfer panel you can directly view the file directory of the host (note: The panel shows the file system of the cloud host, not the host network disk)
2. Uploading Files
Linux hosts upload files There are three ways: one is to upload local files to the Linux cloud host, the second is to upload the local directory to the Linux cloud host, the third is to upload the network disk files to the Linux cloud host;
Before uploading the network disk file, you need to upload the local file to the network disk, then use the intranet for file transfer, upload to the Linux cloud host.
3. Download the file
In the same way, the files that you delete on the cloud host can also be reflected in the file transfer panel synchronously. In addition, Linux hosts download files in two ways: one is to download the files on the Linux cloud host to local, and the other is to download the Linux cloud host files to the network disk.
It is worth noting that the line Cloud Butler Linux file transfer function is more simple and clear, no need to install any client, take full advantage of the cloud vendor intranet Gigabit Bandwidth advantages, get faster file transfer speed, and the line Cloud Butler file transfer process occupied by the bandwidth and traffic charges will be charged by the line cloud Steward load, save worry At the same time, the line cloud Butler Linux file transfer also does not need the user to open the Linux server port, the security is assured.
