How do I get the firmware upgrade package file for Vnxe?

The Vnxe section (emc.com/vnxesupport) of the EMC Online Support website provides software update files. You can also access this page by Unisphere using one of the following methods:

Click Support-> Need more help? -> Product Support Page.

Click Settings-> more Configuration-> Update Software-> obtain Version Online.

When a software update is available, alerts appear in the user interface in Unisphere. Go to the EMC Online Support website, and then visit the Downloads page for more information. All software updates on the EMC Online Support Web site are displayed as "Vnxe operating Environment" plus version numbers.

Note: Alerts will only be received if you are running Vnxe OE version 2.2 or higher.

Make sure you visit the Vnxe product page (Emc.com/vnxesupport) to find any upgrades and supplemental information available.

To receive automatic e-mail notifications about available software updates, select Settings > More configuration > Alert Settings, and then enter one or more e-mail addresses and the network name or IP address of your SMTP server.

Note: To obtain any Vnxe software on the EMC Online Support website, you do not need to provide an EMC supported account number and password. Vnxe will query the system once a week, or every time the management software is restarted, and provide alerts when a new version appears.
