How do I install the. deb file under the Linux system?

Deb is the Ubuntu, Debian format.
RPM is the format of Redhat, Fedora, and SuSE.

They are not universal (though they can be converted).

Deb is a Debian-released package
Ubuntu is based on all the Debian releases that can be used

. deb is the installation package suffix name under the Solaris system. Installation methods such as the following

CD to the folder where the package is installed

Dpkg-i Install package Name

Let's say you're using Red Hat Linux, and then run the following command to install

CD to the folder where the package is installed
RPM-IVH Install package Name
