After two or more vrouters are connected to a vro, if you need to set the speed limit, Internet access control, or MAC address filtering for the terminals under the vro, you need to consider the form of networking. There are two types of router cascade: LAN-WAN cascade and LAN-LAN cascade. Different cascade methods are used to restrict the terminals under the secondary router. The following sections describe them respectively.
LAN-WANCascade
Connects the LAN port of the primary router to the WAN port of the secondary router, as shown in the following figure. At this time, the secondary router is used as a router. The primary router can only control the secondary router itself through the WAN port IP address, but cannot directly control the terminal under the secondary router. Therefore, you must restrict the terminals under the vrouters on the vro interface.
LAN-LANCascade
The LAN port connecting the network cable from the LAN port of the primary router to the LAN port of the secondary router, as shown in the figure below. At this time, the second-level router is used as a switch, and all terminals in the LAN use the primary router as a gateway. Therefore, the terminals under the second-level router must be limited on the primary router interface.
Note:When used as a vSwitch, the bandwidth control, Internet access control, Port ing, and other functions of the secondary router do not take effect,
