1. Set up mail account first: After opening Outlook Express, click "Tools" in the menu bar, then select "Account";
2. Click on the "Mail" tab, click on the right side of the "Add" button, in the pop-up menu select "Mail";
3. In the pop-up dialog box, according to the prompts, enter your "display name", and then click "Next";
4. Enter the email address you have applied for, such as: ***@163.com, then click "Next";
5. Mail receiving server you can choose POP3 or IMAP server, if you choose POP3 Server: Please enter your mailbox POP3 and SMTP server address, then click "Next";
POP3 server: pop.163.com SMTP server: smtp.163.com (using default values for port numbers) If you choose Impa Server: Please enter your mailbox's IMAP and SMTP server address, then click Next;
IMAP server: imap.163.com SMTP server: smtp.163.com (the port number uses default values)
6. Enter your email account name and password (account only to enter the previous part of the @), then click "Next";
7. Click the "Finish" button to save your settings;
8. Do not forget to set up SMTP server Authentication: In the "Mail" tab, double-click the account you just added, pop-up This account's property box;
9. Please click on the "Server" tab, and then "Send mail Server" at the lower end, select the "My server requires authentication" option, and click on the right "Settings" tab, select the "Use and receive mail server the same settings";
10. If you want to keep the mail backup in the mailbox, click on "Advanced", check "keep a copy of the message on the server" (here is the role of the check: the message received on the client will also be backed up in the mailbox.) Click OK, and then the "Close" account box, now set to success! Click on the "Send Receive" button in the main window to send and receive mail.
If you choose an "IMAP" server, you can tick "This server requires secure link (SSL)" so that all data transmitted through IMAP will be encrypted to ensure the security of the communication
