System Requirements
Basically, if your computer can run Windows 8.1, you can start the installation with confidence. If you are unsure, don't worry that Windows will check your system to ensure that technical Preview can be installed.

Important Notes
---Some computer processors and hardware configurations are not supported by technical Preview, including a small number of older 64-bit CPUs and some GB and all GB devices running a compressed operating system.
---to access the Windows store and download and run the application, you need an Internet connection, a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768, and a Microsoft account.
The Windows application store in the---technical Preview will provide many, but not all, Windows 8.1 applications. (Applications that apply to Windows technical Preview will not be available for computers running Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.) Keep in mind that if you decide to return to Windows 8.1 or Windows 8 after you install the preview version, you may have to reinstall your application from the Windows application store.
---Cortana currently offers only English (United States) versions.
You will not be able to use Windows Media player to play DVDs---you install the preview version.
---If you are running Windows8.1, but you have not installed the Windows8.1 update, you will not be able to install technical Preview. Try running Windows update to get Windows8.1 before installing technical Preview, or you can download the ISO file.
---If you have a professional edition of WINDOWS8 with Media Center and you install the preview version, Windows Media Center will be removed.
---Preview cannot be run on the WindowsRT8.1 version.
---Technical Preview does not have an n version, so if you upgrade from version N to technical Preview, you will no longer be able to run the N version.
---If you are running a Windows7 with no SP1, you can only upgrade to the preview by downloading the ISO file. If you have Windows 7 SP1 installed, you can use Windows Update or download the ISO file to upgrade to the preview version.
Language
Technical Preview provides the following language versions: English (United States), English (English), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Russian, German, French, French (Canada), Korean, Italian, Spanish, Spanish (Latin America), Swedish , Finnish, Turkish, Arabic, Dutch, Czech, Polish, and Thai languages.
Attention
---If you are running Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 and your system language is not one of the available languages listed earlier, you can only keep your personal files when you upgrade. You will not be able to keep the application or Windows settings.
---If the preview is installed the first time it is available in English, Chinese (Simplified) or Portuguese (Brazil), and you now want to switch to one of the additional available languages, you will need to download the ISO file to reinstall the preview version of one of these languages.
Some of the text in the---preview has not been translated into all available languages and will therefore be displayed in English only. When the final product is listed, this text will be translated into all available languages.
---If you are running Windows 8.1, Windows 8, or Windows 7 and you have installed a language pack or language bound Pack (LIP), you will remove it when you install technical Preview.
Technical Preview will expire on October 1, 2015
If you are running technical Preview, Microsoft has sent you a notice starting September 15, 2015 to remind you that you need to upgrade your computer to a later version.
