Focuswriter is an open-source, cross-platform text editor that runs on Linux, Windows, and mac OS X systems. The software has a hidden interface that provides an independent and free environment.

Focuswriter supports txt, RTF, and ODT files, allows you to Set timers and alarms, as well as automatic saving and spelling checks, and supports some new themes and translations in more than 20 languages.
