How does a computer customize the desktop resolution ?, Custom desktop resolution

Sometimes there is no proper resolution when the computer sets a resolution or when a new monitor. This article describes how to customize the desktop resolution.

Right-click the desktop and select "NVIDIA control panel"

In the left column, "show" -- "change resolution"

 

The existing resolution is displayed in the right column. Click "Custom" to set the resolution.

In the displayed custom dialog box, click "create custom resolution" at the bottom"

In the create custom resolution dialog box, set horizontal pixels, vertical scanning lines, flushing rate, color depth, and scan type. Click "test"

In the displayed dialog box, the test is successful. Click "yes" to retain the resolution you just set.
