When the iomega device has no small display screen or external video interfaces to connect to the monitor, it is necessary to discover the IP address of the device through the network. This section describes how to discover the IP address of a device through the arp list of the client.
First, the iomega device RJ-45 network interface and client pc RJ-45 network interface directly connected, both sides of the network configuration are selected DHCP mode. If the Iomega device is a new device, the default network setting is DHCP. If the original static address is set, you can reset the reset operation to DHCP.
Set the DHCP mode on the client pc;
Open the cmd command line, restart the iomega device, and enter the arp command to check mac entries;
The mac address prefix of the Iomega device is fixed to "00-d0-b8". You can use this feature to lock the current IP address of the device.
