If you want to know what hardware devices are installed on your computer, the best way to do this is to use Device Manager. In addition, users can scan for newly added hardware in Device Manager, view driver installation for each device, and even change advanced settings for some devices when needed.
There are 3 ways to open Device Manager in Win7.
(1) Click the Start button, right-click the Computer option, and select the Manage option from the right-click menu, and then click Device Manager in the left tree of the Computer Management window that appears.
(2) Click the Start button, right-click the Computer option, and choose Properties from the right-click menu, and in the System Properties window that appears, click the Device Manager option in the task list on the left side of the window.
(2) Click the "Start" button, enter "Devmgmt.msc" in the Search box, and press ENTER.
By default, Device Manager will display all devices by type, as shown in Figure 1. Click the icon in front of each type to expand the type of device and view the specific device that belongs to that type. Double-click each device to open the Properties dialog box for this device. Right-click on a specific device, and you can execute some of the relevant commands directly in the Windows7 flagship version of the pop-up right-click menu.
If you want to look at the machine's equipment in other ways because of special needs, you can select it under the "Check Out" menu. Device Manager can display devices and resources in two ways by type and connection, as shown in Figure 2.
