With the font volume application, you can install, delete, view, organize, verify, enable, and disable fonts. The font is the type used when the computer displays and prints text. OS X provides a variety of pre-installed fonts.
Use "font volume"
The font volume is located in the application folder (select go> application in finder ). To manage or view fonts, open the font volume or press the font file.
In the font volume, the font set column on the left displays installed fonts by category. Click to view fonts of different categories, or click "All fonts" to view the list of all installed fonts. The "font" column in the middle shows all fonts in the selected font set. The preview panel on the right shows the character examples in the selected font.
You can use the font volume to do the following:
Preview and install fonts
Delete a font from the font volume
View fonts in the font volume
Organize fonts into a font set
Disable and enable specific Fonts
Verify problematic Fonts
Find and fix duplicate Fonts
