before upgrading, we recommend that you understand the following information:
1, the router does not need to upgrade the software when used normally.
2, the new software will usually optimize the router, such as special circumstances, do not recommend a rebound to the old software.
3, do not use DD-WRT or openwrt, such as Third-party upgrade software.
4, upgrade the software must be downloaded at the Mercury official website or by our technical service personnel to provide.
5, if the router has important configuration information, it is recommended to
back up the configuration file , upgrade and then import the profile again.

This article describes how to upgrade a router.
Identify your router's information
Log on to the router management interface using an administrative address (192.168.1.1 or melogin.cn), and
view the current software and hardware version of the router in the first column on the left, and suggest that you record the following figure:
If you enter the Admin interface, the upgrade screen appears as shown in the following illustration:
You also need to record the current software and hardware version of the router that you see on this page.

To access the
Mercury
Service Support , enter the
digital portion of the product model in the Data search field, which will automatically match your model and select the correct model as follows:
Note: This article takes mw300r as an example.
After finding the product in the search results, click on the hardware version in the Hardware version list, as shown in the following figure:
Find the latest upgrade in the download file (usually the most recent upgrade program), click the Immediate download button to save the file to your computer desktop, as follows:
Note: Different models, hardware versions can not be upgraded to each other, only the model, hardware version of the match can be successfully upgraded.
Click on the right mouse button to download the upgrade software to the desktop, the following figure:
Note: If you cannot decompress, download and install the WinRAR or WinZip decompression tool.
After the decompression will generate a new folder, the subsequent upgrades need to browse to this folder, please remember where the folder is stored.

router will not power down during the upgrade, or it may cause the router to become corrupted. the router will automatically reboot after successful upgrade. The whole process lasts for about 2-3 minutes, please be patient. The following figure:

In general, the original configuration of the router will be lost after the upgrade, you need to import the configuration file, or manually set up the router to surf the internet. However, after an individual router or upgrade of a specific software upgrade, the configuration is still in the router after the upgrade and you do not need to make any settings to use it in the original way.

Where do I download the upgrade package?
In the Mercury

product model to see all upgrade packs for that model. In order to ensure the security of the router, do not download the upgrade software through third party channels (various platforms, centers).
What if I don't have the upgrade version I want?
If you search for a list of your product upgrades, there is no version that you need, indicating that the router is not releasing the corresponding software. You can contact 400-8810-500 to resolve related issues.
TFTP
What is the upgrade?
TFTP is a file transfer tool, our older version of the router to use this tool to upgrade the software.
Do you want to return to the original version of the software after you upgrade?
No, if the reset operation after the upgrade completes, only the configuration in the router will be removed and the software version will not be affected.
Can I upgrade my router with a wireless terminal (cell phone, notebook)?
Theoretically, but because the mobile phone, pad and other operating systems need to have a dedicated decompression software, and through wireless upgrade stability is not guaranteed, so it is recommended to use wired upgrades.
The browse option was not found at the upgrade option?
"Browse" is not found, one may be the button name is "select", "View" and so on, and "browse" features consistent; the second possibility is that the router supports the TFTP upgrade method, as follows:

Can the hardware version be upgraded?
No, the hardware version of the product is fixed, you cannot upgrade software for different hardware versions, and you cannot upgrade to other hardware versions.
Do you need to reset the router after the software upgrade?
Depending on your needs. In general, the configuration of the router after the software upgrade is not lost, can be used directly, without resetting.
Can routers automatically upgrade?
Our current full range of routers temporarily does not support automatic upgrades.
Can I upgrade to an English interface?
No. Division I in mainland China sales of router products are only supported in Simplified Chinese, can not be upgraded to English interface.
