SLP: Short for system lock preinstall
The protection measures for activation of the pre-installed system are translated into Chinese. It is an agreement between Microsoft and OEMs, in order to maximize the benefits of OEMs and avoid the proliferation of piracy ......
In XP/2003 systems, OEMs adopt the slp1.0 verification mechanism:
Specific performance:
1. the BIOS of the factory machine of the OEM manufacturer contains the string of this brand)
2. The operating system contains the oembios. * file for the desired brand.
3. The installation serial number is the OEM key of the brand.
If the above three conditions are met, the XP/2003 system can be free of activation. Otherwise, it is equivalent to the retail version and must be activated within 30 days (for example, activating XP/2003 with COA key)
In the Vista system, OEM adopts the slp2.0 verification mechanism:
Specific performance:
1. the manufacturer's factory machine BIOS contains the digital signature of the brand's OEM authorization certificate
2. the manufacturer's factory machine BIOS contains the digital signature of the brand's OEM key
3. The operating system contains the OEM authorization certificate for the brand.
4. The installation serial number is the OEM key of the corresponding certificate version.
If the above four conditions are met, the Vista OEM system is not activated. Otherwise, it is equivalent to the retail version and must be activated within 30 days (for example, activating Vista with COA key)
the principle and method for changing the OEM version of Vista retail edition without activation:
1. Restart to refresh the BIOS in a pure DOS environment:
Award bios type: use Phoenix's BIOS tool to refresh the bios and set publickey. bin (Public Key digital signature) and slpmark. bind to BIOS separately. (Two restarts are required when the BIOS is refreshed.)
ami bios type: the principle is the same as above. The tool uses the AMI Special Edition tool.
2. Start the service properly. Copy the OEM authorization certificate to the directory of the Vista system: Windows/system32
3. Set tokens as administrator. replace DAT with the tokens of the OEM version. dat, note that tokens. the DAT version must correspond to the OEM key, that is, Hb corresponds to Hb, HP corresponds to HP, and u corresponds to u.
4. Change the installation serial number and change the key to correspond to toekns. the OEM key of the DAT version.
5. Restart. Congratulations! The Vista retail version has been changed to the OEM version and is not activated
