If a friend who uses Firefox wants to search for gluten directly in the address bar, a solution is provided here to facilitate your use.
The tested version is Firefox 30.0.
Before writing this blog post, I carefully searched for many methods on the internet, probably because I used version 30.0, many methods circulating on the internet, plug-ins, and abunt: config, they are not good at all, so they adopted the method of tossing File Settings. At least they can solve the problem.
The procedure is as follows:
1. first, find the installation directory of Firefox and go to the browser \ searchplugins directory. For example, my complete path is: C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Mozilla Firefox \ browser \ searchplugins, some may have different paths because of different versions. For example, some may be in the profile \ searchplugins path. If you cannot find the paths, create the searchplugins folder in the browser directory (I think it will all be available ). Here is a tool for finding local files. Its name is everything. It is a powerful tool for searching local files.
2. Download the Google search Firefox search engine file, decompress it, and copy the gfsoso. xml file to the searchplugins directory. Click here to download the file.
3.
Then start Firefox. If it was previously open, restart Firefox. In the search box on the right, click the drop-down menu on the left side. You can see an additional gfsoso option (or Google search ).
Click it, and then you can use the search box on the left and right to search for the grain.
I tried several times during the test, but I don't know if the result is affected. If you have any questions during the setup process, please submit them to me.

Thanks to the gfsoso. xml file provided by the SS friend, and added the icon to the grain powder of Firefox browser ~
Amendment:
According to feedback from Friends of the NLP realm, if Firefox 25.0 does not display the grain search option, delete the Firefox configuration Directory: C: \ Documents and Settings \ Administrator \ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ profiles \ XXXXX. search. JSON file, and then re-open Firefox. Firefox automatically generates search. JSON again.
XXXXX indicates the random file name generated by Firefox. You only need to confirm that the extension suffix is. default.
How does one set Google search as the default search engine in Firefox?
