How does SAS112 convert a standard volume to a master volume?

Command: convert std-to-master

Note: convert a standard volume to a master volume. This allows the volume to take snapshots and associate them with an existing snapshot pool. Although the standard volume and snapshot pool can be in different virtual disks, they must belong to the same controller.

Syntax: convert std-to-master snap-pool standard-volume

Parameter: name or serial number of the snapshot pool associated with the snap-pool and the new master volume.

The name or serial number of the standard-volume to be converted.

Example: convert the standard volume V1 to the master volume and associate it with the snapshot pool SP1:

# Convert std-to-master snap-pool SP1 V1

Success: Command completed successfully.-The conversion of a standard volume to a master volume completed.
