How does sqlserver connect from the Internet through IP address?

SQL server 2005 has been installed on one server, and everything is normal. Recently, due to the use of table type parameters, sqlserver 2008 needs to be installed, but cannot be connected after installation. The local machine can be connected through the machine name.

Later I found that I needed to change the port. I don't know if this is the only way. I hope you can correct it.

Open ConfigurationManager, find TCP/IP, right-click the point attribute, select IPAddress to the end of TCPAll, and change TCPPort to your own port.

Then, you need to add a port during the connection. For example, 10.10.10.10 \ sqlserver2008, 1400 can be connected successfully. The port number must be added to the connection string.

Finally, add the port number to the firewall.
